Two shows remain for City Lights & Stars Concert Series at Burritt on the Mountain

Burritt on the Mountain is wrapping up its 32nd season of the City Lights & Stars Summer Concert Series. This signature event features eight evenings of music and magic under the stars from May through September.

“City Lights & Stars is one of our favorite traditions at Burritt. It’s a chance for the community to come together, enjoy great music, and take in the best view in Huntsville,” said Melanie Thornton, CEO. “Every ticket sold helps support our education programs, which serve close to 7,000 students each year. When you attend a concert, you’re helping us provide meaningful learning experiences for the next generation.”

This remaining lineup features two fabulous local hometown favorites on the Isenberg Gazebo stage. Gates open at 6 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Calypso Vision

Calypso Vision offers a relaxed beachfront spirit and a “Gumbo Mix” of Buffett-style trop and Classic Rock. Grounded in good alternative roots, and a few Hippie Surprises, Calypso Vision brings its beach party, ready to go, with all the spontaneous fun you need turning the evening into a great trip down island! Offering a “better attitude from another latitude”.

Huntsville In the Mood

Huntsville’s In the Mood is a traditional 21-piece Glenn Miller-style big band based in Huntsville. The band formed with a mission of keeping the legacy of Glenn Miller alive, and to help introduce newer audiences to the wonderful popular music from the big band era, played by local musicians. The band strives to reproduce the quality and authenticity of the greats from the 1940s and 1950s, including Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, and Bobby Darin. “Our music is great for people of all ages. This is swing music at its finest, and it is a style that can never go out of style.”
